I'm a self-taught artist, originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am interested in the lost, the tormented, the tortured and the sick. I collect dolls, toys, bones and old photographs to use in my work as metaphors and symbols for how childhood shapes us in ways we cannot control.
My need to deconstruct collected objects is juxtaposed with my desire to nurture and care for the youth who are my subject matter. Reflecting on stories of unfortunate children and their unseen or unreached potential fills me with feelings of hope and a wishful longing. Creating from these intense emotions helps me to release in a passionate, repetitive and obsessive way, creating disturbing characters and a nightmarish ambience that moves through my work.
